In most cases TV may show other symptoms too. If T'Con boards' processor IC gets direct shorted, it will apply a more load to TVs power supply section, and in some sets the technician might go before it. For Sony KDL32BX300, six blinks, pause, six blinks indicates a back light error and location is on the LCD panel. Not with T'Con board. The LCD panel includes the "Inverter MT board" and T'Con control MT board.    So different brands of televisions will show different blinking codes.  The technician must fully aware of these blinking codes.
